Sumner Saeks

With an extensive background in banking, corporate management and corporate renewal, Sumner (Sonny) Saeks has a highly successful track record as a Turnaround Professional, providing consulting services to companies with annual revenues ranging from $5 million to more than $1 billion.  As an Interim Manager, he has run corporations ranging in size from $65 million to $250 million, and has the proven ability to tackle event the toughest of situations. His expertise and broad hands-on experience gives him the edge when it comes to helping businesses of all sizes thrive and grow. 

 

Whether it’s helping emerging businesses realize their full potential or developing and implementing a strategy for regrowth during a times of crisis, Sonny understands that each situation is unique and has the sound judgement, sensitivity and rare ability to create a sense of calm, especially in crisis situations when management’s emotions can be high.  He is also known for his engaging and informative presentations and workshops on of topics related to Corporate Renewal and Crisis Management.

 

Sonny holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University.  He has the distinction of being the only Turnaround Professional in Greater Cincinnati, and is just one of two in the region to hold the prestigious Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) designation, a highly valued and objective measure of a turnaround professional’s experience, knowledge, and integrity required to conduct corporate renewal work.

 

As a CTP, Sonny is recognized as possessing a proven track record and years of experience in working with companies that are in financial crisis. To attain the certification candidates must have held positions such as CEO, Chief Restructuring Officer, Turnaround Team Leader, Receiver or Interim Manager. Additionally, each CTP professional must have acquired several years of turnaround experience demonstrating substantial knowledge of the legal, financial, and management aspects of a turnaround.

Pamela Richards Saeks

Pamela Richards Saeks, Vice President of Creative Services, has 30 years of experience in Marketing, Public Relations and Branding.  She is known for developing show-stopping collateral material, identity systems, invitations, advertisements, promotional campaigns and other items that get businesses noticed.  It has been said that she can find a way to turn even the most mundane product or service into a must-have through her engaging copywriting and eye for cutting-edge design. She knows what it takes for a business to stand out in the “sea of sameness” and has provided proven expertise, direction and support to help clients take a new approach to old, outdated ways of doing things with great success!  

 

Pam has launched dozens of non-profit and other startup initiatives, using creative marketing techniques to raise awareness, build brand loyalty and increase engagement.  She understands that to realize true success, businesses must 1.) ask their customers what they want, 2.) listen to what they have to say, and 3.) do everything possible to give them what they ask for.  While these steps may seem simple, the best results come from having a skilled professional who can lead you through them and help you recognize the opportunities along the way. 

 

As Vice President of Creative Services, Pam saw the need for New Growth Advisors to begin offering Strategic Design and Innovation services to give clients the edge in this ever-changing world of trends and technology. Her skills in marketing, branding, art directing, copy writing, event planning and customer engagement, combined with NGA’s talented team of design and digital marketing specialists are sure to help any business climb to new heights.

 

Pam attended Ohio State University and graduated from Rowan University with a specialization in Public Relations.  She was the Marketing and Public Relations Director of the Please Touch Museum for Children in Philadelphia and The Chicago Children’s Museum.

Trevor Evans

Trevor Evans, Director of Strategic Design and Innovation, has more than 15 years of experience in the marketing and design industry with an emphasis on strategic visual communications and  branding, website development and management, cutting edge graphic design, social media and more.  

 

He has mastered the art of being able to identify not just what’s trending now, but in anticipating what the next big thing is about to be! Throughout his career Trevor has created numerous brand identity systems, such as logos, ligatures and thousands of pieces of  print collateral, including invitations, mailers and promotional materials.  He has managed media contacts, created email campaigns, designed advertisements for print and the web, and set up and managed the social media accounts, greatly increasing the  reach, audiences and interactions for every one of his clients, leading to more business and a stronger bottom line.

Jennifer Brauer

Jen Brauer, Senior Project Manager specializing in Insolvency and Restructuring, has worked with New Growth Advisors since 2010. She has amassed a great deal of experience in the management of assets in Court Appointed Receiverships, and has done extensive work with businesses in the Bankruptcy process. Jen also has a successful track record managing real estate assets and asset liquidation and operations in industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, product wholesale and distribution services.

 

Jen is an active member of her community, serving as an Awareness Ambassador for a national health organization and as a volunteer with local community outreach programs including Habitat for Humanity and Cincinnati Dress for Success. Jen is also a member of the Tri-State Association for Corporate Renewal and the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Miami University, Project Management Certification from Xavier University and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Patty Grasty

Patty Grasty, Project Coordinator,  has experience spanning 30 years in a wide variety of areas including the automotive, retail and equine industries.  She has an extensive background managing many administrative duties, including bookkeeping, payroll, major accounts, consumer collections and customer service.  She has worked in sales and non-profit and is knowledgeable about thoroughbred horses and breeders.


As Project Coordinator for New Growth Advisors, Patty is involved in Property Management Coordination, including the handling of tenant issues, vendors and contracts and emergency and routine repairs.  She also oversees the collection of third party accounts receivables, facilitates onsite operations and oversees the start-up/wind-down of cases.  In addition, she handles case research as well as time billing and maintains vendor contacts for all cases.  


In addition to other positions Patty held before joining NGA, she was an Area Coordinator for a worldwide non-profit exchange student program, managing 6 states and a team of 35+ Area Representatives. Patty completed undergraduate work at the University of Kentucky.  She is an active community volunteer, particularly in the areas of the arts and multiculturalism.

Bonnie Whitten, Project Assistant, supports the New Growth Advisors’ team with special projects and assignments.  She has nearly 20 years of retail experience, including personnel management, inventory control, ordering and pricing and customer service and has also worked in the banking industry.  



As Project Assistant for NGA, Bonnie handles onsite management and receivership coordination, residential property turnovers with maintenance staff, meeting coordination, ordering and other important back office duties. She holds an Associate’s degree from Herkimer County Community College.  In her free time, she participates in missions that serve underprivileged people living in Appalachian Kentucky.

Stan Durst, Information Technology Contractor and Coordinator, has been an invaluable member of the NGA team for 13 years.  His vast skills and intricate knowledge of information technology bring a critical advantage to NGA’s clients, including providing expert trouble shooting around all user issues, employee training as needed, maintaining server security, advising on current systems and improvements, integrating all technology, coordinating and installing technology purchases and upgrades and monitoring security threats to insure clients’ data is never breached.

Some examples of Stan’s work with NGA’s clients include:

Third Party Tax lien collector:

  • Secured server by disabling remote access used by former employees/CEO.

  • Maintained the integrity of the server throughout the case and created a secure backup to insure data was accessible.

  • Worked with third party company to ensure that industry specific application worked appropriately.

  • Worked with onsite users to trouble shoot.

  • Hacked into password protected computers to comply with court order.

  • Tracked the information chain of command for Trustee.

 
Hospital:
  • Worked with third party maker of medical records and billing software to comply with court ordered queries even though the software was extremely outdated and inadequate.

  • Created backup servers needed to comply with court ordered medical records protocol.

  • Kept antiquated medical records and billing software up and running for the duration of the receivership.

  • Restored all servers and equipment after a significant power surge disabled all systems.
